Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the results of endovascular laser therapy for insomnia on patients with cervical spine pain at the Department of Rehabilitation, Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy hospital.
Subjects and methods: describe the intervention before and after treatment on 44 insomnia patients with cervical spine pain, from January 2022 to December 2022.
Results: The age group with the most insomnia was those over 60 years old (56.8%), female accounted for 70.5%. After 20 days of endovascular laser treatment, the mean PSQI score after treatment was 4.85 ± 2.21 points lower than before treatment by 7.22 points. Time to sleep under 30 minutes accounted for 34.1%, nightly sleep quality after 20 days of treatment was 6.7±1.6 hours. There was an improvement in fatigue, memory, or irritability after treatment.
Conclusion: endovascular laser method is highly effective in treating insomnia in patients with cervical spine pain.
