Abstract
Background: Stroke is always a crucial problem in medicine, especially in developing countries. Stroke patients often face many serious complications, including anxiety disorder.
Objectives: We aimed identify to the prevalence of post-stroke anxiety disorder and some related factors in stroke patients treated at traditional medicine hospital of Dak Lak Province in 2024.
Subjects and methods: cross-sectional study on 238 stroke patients aged 18 years and older who met sampling criteria at traditional medicine hospital of Dak Lak Province from January 2024 to June 2024.
Results: The proportion of anxiety disorder after stroke according to HADS scale was 43.3%. Patients in the following groups: age < 65, ethnic minorities, stroke duration < 6 months have a higher proportion of post-stroke anxiety disorder than the other groups.
Conclusions: the proportion of anxiety disorder after stroke is high. Some factors associated with increased risk of post-stroke anxiety disorder are age < 65, ethnic minority, stroke duration < 6 months.
