Abstract
Objective: Review the results of rehabilitation treatment for patients with simple periarthritis of the shoulder at the Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy hospital. Subjects and methods: 34 patients with simple periarthritis of the shoulder treated at the Rehabilitation Department of Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital from January 2023 to October 2023. Research methods describe results before and after treatment. Results: The most common age of patients is over 50 years old, accounting for 82.4%. Women account for 67.6% more than men account for 32.4%. The duration of illness is over 3 months, accounting for the highest proportion of 38.2%. The rate of patients with damage to one shoulder is 85.3%, higher than the rate of patients with damage to both shoulders, 14.7%. After 3 weeks of treatment, 70.6% of patients were completely pain free. 100% of patients no longer have shoulder swelling. 85.3% of patients had muscle strength level 4 - 5. 97.1% of functional activities reached a fair or good level. Conclusion: Physical therapy - rehabilitation method brings good results for patients with simple shoulder periarthritis after 3 weeks of treatment.
